Jim Hall (1930 – 2013)

Written by:

Jim Hall made a big impact on the world of jazz, with almost forty recordings as a leader, and countless others as a sideman. He continued to perform and tour into his elder years, including gigs at the Blue Note and other clubs in his home city of New York, and concerts at a number of jazz festivals. You can hear his performance from this past August at the Newport Jazz Festival on NPR. Jim Hall died peacefully on December 10, just a few days after his 83rd birthday.
